Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the administration, support, and maintenance of the following:
- VMware administration including host installation and configuration
- Storage network administration and maintenance
- Ms Windows System administration, performance tuning, monitoring, account management for internal and AD domain environment
- Operating System and application software installation, support, performance tuning, monitoring, applying service packs, etc.
- Administer Cisco switch and router as well as performance monitoring
- Administer Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) in a highly available architecture and document all processes/procedures
- RHEL administration
- End user support for system infrastructure (server and network) and OA environment
- Proactive monitoring of server systems (e.g. uptime, failover, anti-viral, anti-spamming, etc.)
- Maintain and support backups for servers and clients
- Writing of tools, scripts, etc., as necessary to aid the team
- Receiving, racking, cabling and installation of new systems to be built and put into service
- On-call as needed to aid the team
- Support miscellaneous systems as necessary to aid the team
- Assist in IT planning, IT coordinating with vendors and clients for hardware/software purchases, product services, and support
- Other duties, e.g. ad-hoc IT project, as assigned by the reporting officer as well as head of IT team
The ideal candidate would have broad IT skills covering:
- 4 years working experience of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012, VMware ESX 5.5 (and above) and Cisco 37xx and 49xx series of switch and routers
- 1-2 years working experience in RHEL
- Experience in managing including Active Directory, server hardware and software related technology (e.g. RAID systems, backups, SAN, etc.)
- Experience in administering VMware ESX and vCenter environment
- Experience in administering Cisco network device, VLAN configuration, network performance monitoring, firewall rule set
- Experience with IT security, performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge/experience with TCP/IP, UDP, IP ROUTING, SFTP, DNS, NFS, FTP, SMTP
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor degree or 4 years of relevant work experience and/or relevant certifications
- At least 4 years working experience as a Windows and Network Administrator (MCP/ VMWARE VCP), 1-2 years in RHEL
- Preferred CCNA certified
- Positive Working Attitude
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Highly organized, able to multi-task, the ability to work individually, within a team, and with other groups
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written across all user levels
Salary: $4,700 Per Month
